last song

2019

last song is a sonic project of place(s) changed by infrastructure, unbuilding, and redirection. Walking along the Don River Watershed, the artists collected litter and objects left behind, reading rhythm in the lost items. This performance features a handmade collection sac, a glass of water, a clarinet, tent pegs, a record player, a styrofoam container, scrap metal, a plug, and an eyeglass lens.

15 minute performance | Geary Lane, Toronto ON

The work was developed for Toronto Dance Community Love-In’s PS: we are all here and was performed by allie higgins with clarinet by Daniel Pencer and turntable by Lauren Runions.
