“A Sudden Begining”
2020
To mark the opening of MOCA’s 2020 winter exhibitions, Intervening “A Sudden Beginning” took place within and alongside Carlos Bunga’s large-scale cardboard installations. This performance positioned Bunga’s installation as a passageway and transitional space, softening the relationship between body and materiality.
Supported by a performance score, the five performers allie higgins, Yui Ugai, Shelby Wright, Denise Solleza, and Lauren Runions welcomed a consensus in rhythm.
